- The programme provides an inter-disciplinary training on renewable energy, electricity & gas infrastructures and relevant policy & economic interventions to design future energy systems in socio-technical contexts.
- Thesis: Peer-to-peer energy trading: A novel market mechanism incorporating cooperative behaviours and multi-energy coupling
- The major aimed to cultivate inter-disciplinary and creative talents with thermal, mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills. My study focused on key sustainable energy technologies such as solar cell, rooftop PV system and relevant data analytics.
- Thesis: Research on data preprocessing for The digital power plant, cooperated with Shanghai Electric
- I acquired 35 ECTS within System Analysis Track of MSc programme in Sustainable Energy, e.g. Life cycle assessment, Energy economics & markets, Energy system modeling & analysis, and conducted a district heating project at Department of Mechanical Engineering.

A novel market mechanism for peer-to-peer multi-energy cooperative trading Nov. 2020-Aug. 2021
- Designed a novel P2P energy market mechanism and simulated peers' decision-making with electricity-heat coupling and coalitional trading
- Leveraged both temporal and spatial information to conduct a case study on evaluating the market mechanism across 4 scenarios from the socio-economic perspective 「Publication」
Data preprocessing for the digital power plant Nov. 2018-Jun. 2019

- Worked for the Digital Power Plant project to realize condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of steam turbines through data mining
- Developed the evaluated 6 data preprocessing algorithms to resolve data redundancy, anomaly detection and data imputation 「English Summary」
Valuation of the System Advantages of Lower District Heating Temperatures Feb. 2018-Jun. 2018
- The performance of various utility plants, distribution grids and domestic installations was analyzed and quantified under different district heating (DH) temperature.
- An Excel-based model was developed to conduct feasibility evaluation and strategy analysis covering financial, environmental, energy and socio-economic aspects. 「Report」

- As the group leader, I took charge of HVAC Modeling of SJTU library, coordinated architecture and structure modelling, and explored the information exchange among MagiCAD, ArchiCAD, Navisworks, Bimsight, etc.

- Conducted spatial data analysis on six European cites to explore the relationship between urban traffic flow and cycle infrastructure and thereby conclude policy implications for congestion mitigation and sustainable transition 「Report」
Back-up PV System Design for the Data Center in Colorado, US Apr.-Jun. 2020
- Designed a PV system with a battery bank and simulated the operation with Matlab to guarantee the supply reliability during blackouts and showcase the financial feasibility. 「Report」
Conceptual design of solar parks at parking terrains in Rotterdam Apr.-Jun. 2020
- Conducted technical, institutional and process designs from system requirements to mock-up artefacts, including PV system modelling, DBFM and PPA contract, and tender process for the municipality. 「Report」

Life Cycle Assessment of Decentralised ToiletsSep.-Dec. 2017

- The project was to quantify the environmental impact of three different toilets, e.g. Decentralised, Flushing, composting Toilets with SimaPro and identify the hotspot stage to improve current design. 「Report」
Solar Decathlon China 2018 Mar. 2016-April. 2017
- At Energy System Department, I designed and simulated the PV system for a solar-powered permanent family house with PVsyst including plane orientation & tilt, module & inverter selection and array layout. 「Report」
Interdisciplinary Contest in ModelingFeb. 2016
- Two teammates and I applied BP Artificial Neural Network and GM(1,1) model to predict and assess water resource situation in Shenyang based on historical data from 2002 to 2014 and formulate a 2016-2030 Plan to mitigate water scarcity during intensive 96 hours. 「Submission」
Awards & Honors
During the 2016-2017 Comprehensive Assessment at College of Mechanical Engineering, I ranked 1/28 in my major (9/441 in the department).
I was selected to represent my university to participate in the internship programme sponsored by Dunedin City Council and Otago Polytechnic.
